AMSOIL Introduces New Products

INJEN/AMSOIL Diesel Air Intake Systems. Cold air intake systems serve several important functions. Primarily, they are used to increase the amount of oxygen available to the engine, increasing power. Because cool air has greater density than hot air, aftermarket intakes improve combustion of fuel by capturing cooler air from outside the engine compartment. In addition, an aftermarket air intake system increases the diameter of the intake as compared to the original equipment, increasing air flow into the engine and making more oxygen available during the combustion process.

By designing a more direct route for the air entering the engine, as well as a smoother interior surface for the intake, air resistance is reduced and air flow is increased. To protect the engine from damaging dirt, cold air intakes are also equipped with filters. Air intake systems can improve gas mileage and increase performance, and they also add a sleek, custom look to a vehicle.

Restore Power and Performance with Newly Reformulated AMSOIL P.I. Gasoline Additive. AMSOIL P.I. (Performance Improver) provides unsurpassed fuel economy and performance. Today’s fuels vary in quality and additive treat levels.  Although a certain level of detergent additive is required by law to be formulated into gasoline, cost restrictions cause refineries to use low quality additives in the lowest additive concentration (LAC), a level insufficient to prevent deposit accumulation.  As a result, deposits accumulate on fuel injectors, intake valves and combustion chambers, often within just a few thousand miles, disrupting spray patterns, affecting electronic sensors and causing a multitude of problems.

The newly formulated AMSOIL P.I. Performance Improver is the most potent gasoline additive available today.  As a concentrated detergent, it is unsurpassed in cleaning combustion chamber deposits, intake valve deposits and port fuel injector deposits, eliminating the need for expensive fuel injector cleaning procedures.  The product is ideal for use prior to emissions inspections. It also helps maintain peak engine efficiency, fuel economy, power and drivability in newer low mileage engines.  In engines with accumulated deposits, testing showed AMSOIL P.I. provided the following clean-up benefits after only one tank of gasoline: • Improves fuel mileage an average of 2.3% and up to 5.7%, • Reduced emissions, • Restored power and performance, • Reduced need for costly higher octane fuel, • Reduced noise from carbon rap and pre-ignition, • Better drivability, • Smoother operation.

AMSOIL EaAR Filters are specially designed for racing and street rod enthusiasts who desire AMSOIL Ea protection in carbureted applications. AMSOIL EaAR Air Filters are constructed with the same synthetic nanofiber media as other AMSOIL Ea Air Filters. AMSOIL EaAR Air Filters are designed to replace stock cellulose, oil-wetted gauze or foam filters. The nanofibers in EaAR Filter media have sub-micron diameters and small inter-fiber spaces, resulting in more contaminants being captured on the surface of the media. Cellulose, wetted gauze and foam filters are larger and have larger spaces between the fibers in the media, causing contaminants to load into the depth of the filter, plugging the airflow path and resulting in higher restriction than one micron in diameter, and because of their size, there are more pores per square-inch (higher pore density), allowing for higher dirt-holding capacity and lower pressure drop when compared to traditional filter media. Thinner media fibers, like those in EaAR Air Filters, produce more uniform pore size distribution, improving the filter’s overall ability to capture and retain particles.

AMSOIL EaAB Crankcase Breather Filters provide excellent oil vapor control, increased efficiency and better engine performance in street rod and racing applications. EaAB Filters are a perfect complement to EaAR Filters, combining to provide a superior air filtration system in high-performance and severe-service applications.

AMSOIL now offers Ea Pre-Filters (EaPF) for racing and off-road applications. AMSOIL Ea Pre-Filters prevent large particles from sticking to EaAR and EaAU Filters and blocking the flow of air. Ea Pre-Filters fit over the top of existing air filters. These polyester mesh bags feature an industrial grade elastic band at the opening to ensure the pre-filter does not slide off.

AMSOIL 100% Synthetic 0W-20 Motor Oil (ASM) delivers extraordinary lubrication for automotive gasoline engines. AMSOIL combined the industry premier synthetic technology and additives into a light viscosity formulation that withstands high temperatures and delivers outstanding fuel economy and cold temperature performance. AMSOIL INC. has announced the addition of 75W-110 Severe Gear Synthetic Gear Lube (SVT) to its strong line of AMSOIL Severe Gear Extreme Pressure Synthetic Gear Lubes. The new viscosity gear lube grade that fills the gap between the 75W-90 and 75W-140 viscosity gear lubes that most people are accustomed to using.  Many used the 75W-140 to obtain extra film protection beyond what the 75W-90 viscosity grade offered for their differentials, but found that they sacrificed fuel economy by doing so. This new viscosity grade, 75W-110, offers a high temperature film protection beyond what a 75W-90 offers, without compromising fuel economy.  This new mid-range viscosity grade for gear lubes addresses performance, protection and fuel economy

AMSOIL Introduces World’s First Oil Filter Cartridge for Diesel Applications with Nanofiber Technology. This new premium, high efficiency cartridge oil filter utilizes nanofiber technology for the Ford 6.0L diesel engines ranging from 2003 to 2006. The new EaO-88 is the world’s first oil filter cartridge for diesel applications using advanced submicron full synthetic media. The EaO-88 provides an efficiency of 98.7% at 16 microns, significantly higher than the OEM filter. The rigid construction of this filter is due to a polymeric center tube and end caps, along with its proprietary composition incorporating special grade nanofiber synthetic media, enabling the filter to last up to 1 year or 25,000 miles when used in conjunction with AMSOIL synthetic motor oil.
